A Milestone: Institute Founder's Chapter to be Published by Springer Nature
To Our Community,
It is with great pleasure that we share a key academic achievement for the Bilu Huang Aging Institute. Our Founder and Principal Investigator, Bilu Huang, has contributed as a co-author to the scholarly book “Healthy Longevity: Policies and Practices,” which has been accepted and is now in production with the prestigious publisher Springer Nature. The book is expected to be released globally later this year.
About the Book & Our Contribution:
This volume is a concerted effort by the International Longevity Alliance (ILA) to synthesize expert knowledge on turning scientific discoveries into actionable policy and public health practice.
Bilu Huang co-authored the essential chapter, “What is Aging and Healthy Longevity?” This chapter addresses a fundamental question: How do we scientifically define “aging” and “healthy longevity”? It examines the biological hallmarks of aging and constructs a multi-dimensional framework for “healthy longevity,” providing the necessary scientific foundation for all subsequent policy exploration in the volume.
What This Means for Our Institute:
At the Bilu Huang Aging Institute, our mission is “From Basic Science to Significant Life Extension and Aging Reversal.” This publication embodies that mission in several ways:
Recognition of Scholarly Impact: Contributing to a Springer Nature publication signals that our research is recognized and valued by the international scientific community.
From Bench to Society: Engaging in a book focused on “Policies and Practices” demonstrates our active commitment to ensuring our scientific discoveries have a pathway to impact broader societal systems and individual lives.
Thought Leadership: Shaping the core definitions and conceptual frameworks of the field through this chapter helps guide future research priorities and discussions.
Acknowledgements & Looking Ahead:
We extend our thanks to the volume’s editor, Ilia Stambler, a dedicated advocate in longevity research, for his initiative and collaboration.
Once published, we will share key insights from the book and Bilu Huang’s chapter in future communications. We believe this work will serve as a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, and anyone interested in the future of healthy longevity.
Thank you for your continued support of our work. Every step forward in science is made more meaningful with a community that shares our vision.
Sincerely,
The Team at Bilu Huang Aging Institute
